West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has resigned from the Nandigram assembly seat. Having won both Nandigram and Bhawanipur seats in the state elections, he had to vacate one as per regulations. Adhikari defeated TMC's Pavitra Kar in Nandigram by over 9,000 votes and Mamata Banerjee in Bhawanipur by a margin of 15,105 votes.
