The Modi government has approved four major multi-tracking railway projects worth over Rs 11,000 crore to strengthen the rail network across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand. Developed under the PM Gati Shakti Mission, these projects span 574 km and will benefit 2,300 villages. The initiatives aim to reduce logistics costs, speed up freight transport for coal and cement, and generate 22.9 million man-days of employment.
