The Free Trade Agreement between India and Oman has become operational from June 1, 2026. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that this agreement will benefit Indian exporters of textiles, leather, plastics, marine products, and automobiles. Oman serves as a gateway to the Middle East and is India's second-largest trading partner in the region. Bilateral trade between the two countries rose to $11.18 billion in 2025-26.
