A vulture chick born on March 11 at the Nandankanan Zoological Park's vulture conservation breeding center in Bhubaneswar died on Monday. This marks the second death of a vulture chick born at the facility, posing a significant setback to the breeding program. Authorities have sent the carcass for post-mortem to determine the cause of death. The breeding center was established in 2018 with 12 vultures brought from Gwalior at a cost of one crore rupees.
