The Odisha Vigilance department arrested Vaikunthanath Behera, an Assistant Executive Engineer at ITDA Baliguda, for possessing assets disproportionate to his known income. During raids across Bhubaneswar, Baripada, Jajpur, and Baliguda, officials recovered 2 crore rupees in cash and 500 grams of gold. The engineer was found to own 5 multi-storey buildings and 14 premium plots. The operation involved a large team including 2 Additional SPs and 5 DSPs.
