The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought a report on the custodial death of Sushant Sahu at Kabisuryanagar police station in Ganjam. Following an initial probe by the Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC), three police personnel have been suspended, and IPS officer Nitesh Kumar Mishra has been transferred to headquarters. Additionally, all staff of Kabisuryanagar police station and Balichai outpost have been ordered for transfer. A post-mortem conducted by a three-member medical team identified injuries on the deceased's body.
