The second phase of paddy sowing has commenced in Punjab from June 5, covering five districts including Bathinda and Ferozepur. Farmers in these regions will receive 8 hours of uninterrupted power supply. PSPCL reports that 14 out of 15 power generation units are operational, and due to recent rains, the electricity demand is currently under control at around 8,000 MW.
