Two teenage boys, Abhijit Marandi and Biswajit Panda, drowned in Nuabandha pond in the Ankurli area of Berhampur. The incident occurred after they went for a bath following a cricket match with friends. While one boy was rescued by locals, Abhijit and Biswajit were retrieved by the fire services and declared dead at MKCG Hospital.
