Former Indian women's basketball captain and Olympian Jennifer Paes, mother of tennis legend Leander Paes, passed away at the age of 72 after a long battle with cancer. She represented India at the 1972 Munich Olympics and captained the national team during the 1980-82 Asian Basketball Championships.
