On National Doctors' Day, medical services in Kalahandi district were severely disrupted as doctors belonging to the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) went on an indefinite strike. Led by Dr. Niharendra Panda, the doctors are protesting in front of the CDMO office in Bhawanipatna with a 10-point demand, including the filling of 400 vacant doctor positions. The strike has shut down OPD, IPD, and even emergency services, causing immense suffering to patients.
