Desperate farmers in Pakhi Kalan village of Faridkot, Punjab, have made a unique offer to thieves after 25 tube well motors were stolen in a single night. Frustrated by police inaction, farmers put up posters asking thieves to place UPI QR codes instead of stealing machinery. They offered to transfer money directly to avoid the damage and disruption caused to their crops during the busy paddy sowing season.
