Odisha Police has formed a 4-member special team to investigate a conspiracy involving forged signatures of the State Assembly Deputy Speaker, Bhabani Shankar Bhoi. Two assistant engineers, Monalisa Behera and Laxman Hemram, are under scanner for allegedly using fake letterheads and forged signatures to secure transfers. The fraud came to light after the Deputy Speaker's personal secretary filed a complaint at the Capital Police Station. The Deputy Speaker's office has clarified that no such letters were ever issued or approved by them. Police are currently searching for the two engineers.
