Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a new film policy for Odisha to protect Odia cinema. He warned of strict action against cinema halls that remove Odia films to promote other movies. Speaking at the 35th and 36th State Film Awards, he highlighted plans to develop Kalinga Studio into a digital hub and promote cinema tourism.
