The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain and thunderstorm alert for 25 states over the next seven days. A new Western Disturbance is expected on June 11, bringing hailstorms and winds up to 70 km/h to North India. Monsoon has already covered 13 states and is expected to reach Mumbai within 48 hours.
