The historic 13th-century Ananta Vasudeva Temple in Bhubaneswar is facing severe neglect by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The main structure has been supported by iron pillars for 12 years, and a nearby temple has been surrounded by iron scaffolding for 11 years with no progress. The Goddess Lakshmi temple within the complex collapsed 80 years ago, forcing the deity to be worshipped in the main sanctum. Despite stone numbering in 2015, restoration has stalled due to budget issues. Priests warn that the temple's unique Panchayatana style architecture is at risk if immediate action is not taken by the central and state governments. https://sambad.in/metro/asis-indifference-towards-ananta-vasudeva-temple-11888540 #creator program
