Oil marketing companies have increased petrol and diesel prices for the third time in nine days effective May 24. In Bhubaneswar, petrol is priced at ₹106.42 and diesel at ₹98.05. The price hike is attributed to global tensions in the Middle East and disruptions in crude oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz. While prices in Delhi remain stable at ₹99.51 for petrol, the overall trend reflects increasing inflationary pressure on Indian consumers.
