In a major twist in the Pitabas Panda murder case, murder charges (BNS 103) have been dropped against former MLA Bikram Panda and 13 others in the final chargesheet. The police have named Bikram Panda as the main conspirator under BNS Section 111 (organized crime) instead of direct murder charges. Similarly, charges were dropped against former Mayor Siba Sankar Das and others.
