The issue of Tihara Link Drain in Moga's Jindran village has resurfaced after five years of inaction. The drain was illegally blocked in 2020 by some individuals for farming and construction, causing annual flooding and crop destruction over hundreds of acres. Despite a 2020 order from the DC Moga to act against eight encroachers under the Mines and Minerals Act, no action was taken until now. Following intervention by the Totowala Farmers' Union, a department team led by SDO Sandeep Singh inspected the site. Officials have now promised to clear the encroachments and restore the drain's flow before the upcoming rainy season.
