A massive revision in Odisha's voter list has resulted in the removal of approximately 20.14 lakh voters through the Special Summary Revision (SIR) process. The Chief Electoral Officer stated that out of these, around 8.32 lakh were deceased individuals. The BJD and Congress have raised concerns over the deletions, while the BJP defended the process.
