Tensions flared in Bhopal following an assault on a Muslim youth at a hotel in Govindpura on May 10 over 'Love Jihad' suspicions. Police have filed an FIR against Hindu Utsav Samiti President Chandrashekhar Tiwari for inflammatory remarks against the City Qazi. So far, 7 people including Bajrang Dal workers have been arrested for the assault. Additionally, over 100 people were booked for protesting without permission at Iqbal Maidan, with 7 arrests made from that group.
