The Cuttack Sessions Court has acquitted Abdur Rehman due to lack of evidence. Rehman was arrested in December 2015 from Jagatpur, Cuttack, by Delhi Police and Commissionerate Police for alleged links with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. The Crime Branch had filed a chargesheet against him under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the IPC.
