A court in Rajpura has granted one-day police remand for a couple accused of killing their three children by throwing them into a canal with their hands and feet tied. While the parents were rescued by passersby after jumping in themselves, the children swept away in the strong current and died. Following protests from family members, the police registered a case and arrested the parents, Harprabhjot Singh and Jaswinder Kaur.
