The Union Cabinet has approved a Rs 10,000 crore Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price stabilization fund to support domestic airlines struggling with soaring fuel prices. Due to the West Asian conflict, ATF prices spiked from Rs 60.50 to Rs 142 per liter between March and May. The government has now capped the price at Rs 75.60 per liter. This revolving fund will provide subsidies when prices rise and collect differences when prices fall.
