Odisha Police conducted a massive 8-day special drive across the state under the supervision of ADG Sanjay Kumar. The operation resulted in the execution of 3,493 Non-Bailable Warrants (NBW) and the arrest of 291 absconding criminals. Additionally, 758 habitual offenders were booked under BNSS. The drive also targeted drug trafficking, illegal mining, and arms smuggling, leading to the seizure of 3,754 kg of ganja, 121g of brown sugar, 29 firearms, and 379 vehicles. A total of Rs 3.27 crore in fines was collected for traffic violations, including 1,756 cases of drunken driving.
