A massive fire broke out in a restaurant-cum-lodge in Delhi's Malviya Nagar, resulting in the death of 20 people and leaving 37 others critically injured. Around 50 people were inside the building at the time of the incident, with many sleeping. Firefighting teams rescued the survivors and shifted them to local hospitals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
