BGPP strongly condemns the brutal assault on Shri Ramana Murthy, Editor of Vijaya Viharam and National Secretary of the Jai Bharat Foundation, during a live debate in Hyderabad. Reports state that Kashyap Reddy, described as a Hindutva activist, repeatedly struck Ramana Murthy with a chappal after he questioned the alleged misuse of Ayodhya Ram Mandir donations and the use of Hindu religious imagery in politics. Such violence has no place in a democracy and is an insult to civil discourse. BGPP demands immediate legal action against the attacker. Differences of opinion must be countered with facts—not violence.
