A Singapore court has sentenced Byju's founder Byju Raveendran to six months in prison for contempt of court. The court found him guilty of violating previous orders regarding asset disclosures issued in April last year. Along with the jail term, a fine of 90,000 Singapore dollars has been imposed, and he has been ordered to surrender immediately. Once India's most successful ed-tech startup valued at $22 billion, Byju's is currently facing a severe financial crisis with debts amounting to $1.2 billion.
