Veteran Tamil filmmaker and actor K. Bhagyaraj passed away at the age of 73 due to a heart attack in Chennai. Known for his unique storytelling and screenplay in the 1980s and 90s, he directed over 25 films and acted in more than 75 movies. He was famously called the 'cinematic heir' by M.G. Ramachandran. He also directed the Hindi hit 'Aakhree Raasta' starring Amitabh Bachchan.
