Western Odisha is reeling under a severe heatwave with temperatures crossing 45 degrees Celsius in several cities. Titlagarh recorded the highest temperature at 45.8 degrees. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for several districts including Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh, and Bolangir until May 28. Coastal regions are also struggling with high humidity and heat index, making life difficult for residents.
