The Amarnath Yatra 2026 has commenced with the first batch of pilgrims leaving from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the pilgrimage, which will continue until August 28th. Extensive security arrangements involving CRPF, police, and specialized units are in place to ensure safety. Pilgrims are visiting the holy cave in the Himalayas to see the naturally formed ice Shivaling, also known as Baba Barfani.
