Odisha Vigilance arrested Patitapaban Majhi, former Secretary of Gadsantri Service Cooperative Society in Angul, for misappropriating government funds worth over Rs 33.80 lakh. Investigations revealed that during 2017-18, he manipulated the society's day-book and made false entries. Instead of depositing the cash in the United Central Co-operative Bank, he used the funds meant for agricultural development for personal gains.
