On 10 May 2026, the Delhi government launched cooling stations and heat relief zones under its Heat Wave Action Plan 2026 to help people cope with extreme summer temperatures across the city. A major cooling zone was set up near Jama Masjid Metro Station in Old Delhi, while additional cooling points were installed at crowded locations such as metro stations, bus stands, markets, religious places, and tourist areas. The Delhi government also deployed 13 mobile heat relief vans carrying water, ORS packets, first aid supplies, caps, and cotton towels for people exposed to the heat. Under the broader heatwave plan, thousands of cooling points, water ATMs, misting systems, cool rooms in hospitals, and emergency heat response measures were also introduced as temperatures in Delhi continued crossing 40–43°C. #Delhi
