On the occasion of Ghallughara Day, Giani Kuldeep Singh, the acting Jathedar of Akal Takht, addressed the Sikh community, urging them to stay connected to Guru Granth, Guru Panth, and their homeland, Punjab. He emphasized that Sikhs should not be treated as second-class citizens in India and raised concerns over the targeting of Sikh identity. The event featured the display of a bullet-marked holy manuscript of Guru Granth Sahib from the 1984 military operation. Various Sikh leaders attended, and the Jathedar also demanded the release of 'Bandi Singhs' and justice for past incidents like the Bargari sacrilege. Pro-Khalistan slogans were also raised during the gathering.
