Two Indian Army women doctors, Lt Col Urmimala Bhattacharya and Lt Col Kirti Sethi, deployed in the UN Peacekeeping mission, saved a passenger's life mid-air on an Ethiopian Airlines flight. The passenger suffered from a medical emergency due to hypoglycemia at 30,000 feet. The doctors provided immediate medical aid with limited resources, stabilizing the patient and preventing an emergency landing.
