The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for coastal Karnataka districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada due to heavy monsoon rains. Excessive rainfall up to 204.5mm is expected with wind speeds of 30-40 kmph. Red alerts are also issued for Belagavi, Dharwad, Shivamogga, and Kodagu on June 10. Heavy rains have already caused flooding in Bailhongal, Belagavi. Bengaluru will remain cloudy with light rain for the next 48 hours.
