The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed strict operational restrictions on Mogaveera Co-operative Bank for six months due to its deteriorating financial health. The bank, which has 11 branches across Mumbai and Thane, is now prohibited from granting loans, making investments, or accepting new deposits. Additionally, a withdrawal limit of ₹1 lakh has been set for depositors. RBI clarified that the bank's license is not cancelled and operations will be reviewed after six months.
