The Indian Navy successfully conducted a high-risk operation to remove an unexploded missile from the oil tanker MT Olympic Life. The vessel was hit off the coast of Oman on May 26 and traveled 2000 km to reach Kochi with the live ordnance lodged in its fuel tank. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team safely defused and extracted the weapon, preventing a major disaster.
