Prahlad Sahai Meena, a 2017 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) for Gajapati district. He was previously serving as the SP of Bargarh. The post was vacant since March following the retirement of former SP Yatindra Kumar Panda. During the interim period, Berhampur SP Shravan Vivek M. and Gajapati Additional SP Sunil Kant Mohanty were holding charge.
