Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Major General (Retd) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri passed away at the age of 91 after a long illness in Dehradun. A senior BJP leader, he served as Chief Minister twice and held the Union Ministry of Road Transport in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's cabinet. Before joining politics, he served with distinction as a Major General in the Indian Army.
