Over 2,000 women from the Nari Mahasangha in Nabarangpur district's Papadahandi and Tentulikhunti blocks launched a violent protest against illegal liquor trade. Carrying sticks, they marched through Dhansuli village and set fire to materials at a local country liquor distillery after locking it up. The protesters cited rising domestic violence and health issues as reasons for their action.
