The decomposed bodies of a woman and her 4-year-old son were recovered from a canal near Kintasahi under Ramagiri police limits in Gajapati district. The deceased have been identified as Avanti Dal Behera (32) and her son. Local residents alerted the police, who retrieved the bodies with the help of the fire department. A scientific team has examined the spot, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem to the District Headquarters Hospital in Paralakhemundi.
