The Central Government has rejected the proposal for the 4-lane Khordha-Nayagarh National Highway project. The proposal to expand the existing 2-lane road was presented before the PPPAC. According to regulations, a 4-lane expansion requires a minimum traffic volume of 10,000 vehicles per 24 hours.
