Located near Patna's Golghar, the Sri Akhandwasini Temple is famous for an eternal lamp that has been burning continuously for 110 years. Brought from Assam's Kamakhya Temple in 1914 by Dr. Vishwanath Tiwari, the flame has been preserved by three generations of the same family. Devotees visit the temple to worship Goddess Durga in her Akhandwasini form, offering turmeric and red flowers to seek blessings.
