The West Bengal government has decided to remove the word 'Dham' from the Digha Jagannath Temple's name following a request from Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The temple, previously named 'Jagannath Dham Digha' by the former TMC government, sparked controversy regarding Sanatana culture. It will now be officially known as the 'Shri Shri Jagannath Cultural Centre'.
