On 13 May 2026, a severe dust storm and cyclonic winds in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh caused a man identified as Nanhe Miyan, swept into the air while holding onto a large tin shed at a wedding venue. According to multiple reports and eyewitness accounts, the powerful storm uprooted the metal structure as Nanhe Miyan tried to stop it from flying away, lifting him several feet into the air before he fell into a nearby field. He reportedly suffered serious injuries, including fractures to his hands and legs, and was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition.
