Former Bathinda Mayor Padamjit Mehta, son of PCA President Amarjit Mehta, has won unopposed from Ward No. 46 in the Municipal Corporation elections. Out of 1118 nominations filed in the district, 14 candidates were declared winners without a contest. Currently, 795 candidates remain in the fray.
