The Odisha government has announced a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for state government employees and pensioners. With this increase, the DA has risen from 58% to 60%. Approximately 8.5 lakh employees and pensioners will benefit from this decision, which will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2026.
