Forest department officials conducted a raid in the Rivalakana area under Kalyansinghpur forest range in Rayagada district following a tip-off about leopard skin smuggling. Eight individuals were arrested, and one leopard skin was seized during the joint operation by Rayagada and Kalahandi forest divisions. The accused are being interrogated, and officials suspect the skin was sourced from the Karlapat Wildlife Sanctuary in Kalahandi.
