The Punjab government has announced a new loan of 2500 crore rupees to fund development projects and capital expenditure. The loan will be raised in three parts (1000 crore, 800 crore, and 700 crore) through government bonds. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct the auction for these bonds on May 19, 2026.
