Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Odisha and West Bengal from today. In Odisha, he will join President Droupadi Murmu at Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district, on the occasion of the President’s 68th birthday. The President and Prime Minister will visit Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district and offer prayers at sacred groves Santhali Jahera and Ho Jahera, Skill Centre and Pahadpur School. 2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed incentives worth two thousand four hundred crore rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at a function in New Delhi. This disbursal marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the PM-VBRY, which is the government’s flagship employment-linked incentive scheme aimed at accelerating job creation, enhancing employability and expanding social security coverage across sectors. 3. Country’s first commercial plant to manufacture ammonium nitrate from coal to be setup in Jharsuguda district of Odisha, with an outlay of 25 thousand crore rupees. 4. Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region, Nagaland Centre, at Medziphema to review its ongoing research and agricultural development initiatives. 5. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prepare a detailed project report for establishing stations at key locations along the proposed bullet train and high-speed rail networks. 6. Maharashtra’s School Education Department signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Google for Education to provide artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology training to more than four lakh teachers across the state over the next 18 months. 7. Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan, who also holds Finance portfolio, presented revised Budget 2026-27 in Assembly, pledging a ‘New Kerala’ with inclusive growth and sustainable infrastructure. In the Kashmir Valley, foolproof security and elaborate arrangements have been put in place ahead of the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. The order covers direct recruitment in operational services, including police constables, firemen, jail warders, and forest and wildlife guards. 2. The Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with Bharat Forge Limited, Pune for the acquisition of 12 sets of 1.25 MW Marine Gas Turbine Generators, with minimum 60% indigenous content, for the Indian Navy at a total cost of around Rs 425 crore. The contract was inked under Buy (Indian) category in the presence of Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi on June 19, 2026. 3.
